Learning in Practice: New Learning Resources from the CASH Coalition

We’ve updated — and refreshed the look of — our Learning Hub with two learning sessions that dig deep into real-world challenges and innovations in smallholder climate action:

🌿 Advancing Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) with Smallholder Communities for Effective Climate Work
What does meaningful community consent look like in climate and carbon projects?
Chileshe Chilangwa (Mafisa Zambia), Marcio Halla (Forest Trends Association), and Juan Jose Robalino Cabrera (Landesa) shared grounded lessons from Zambia to Latin America, highlighting how strong FPIC processes build legitimacy and long-term project success.
💡 Includes a 10-step FPIC framework developed by Landesa with CASH members.

📊 Monitoring & Evaluation in Carbon and Climate Finance Projects
How do we balance tech-driven scale with local accuracy?
Pamela Kalimukwa (Mafisa Zambia) and Seong Hah Cho (Proximity Designs) explored how GPS, RFID, and remote sensing tools are transforming project monitoring, while emphasizing the ongoing importance of field verification.

The CASH Coalition’s Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Learning Series is designed to highlight practical experiences, facilitate open exchange, and foster collaboration across our member base and the wider field. These sessions are grounded in the work of smallholder-focused organizations and aim to drive collective learning, experimentation, and innovation in regenerative agriculture and climate finance.

We invite all members and partners to explore the updated resources, share them with your teams, and continue contributing your voices to this growing community of practice.
